Gotha, October 2010 / To live up to its reputation as a premium location in Munich the P1 Club has been extensively renovated. KMD supplied and installed stone to the new dance floors and VIP lounges, as well as staircases to the elevated VIP areas. The designers chose Silver Wave, a particularly expressive, black and gray veined natural stone from India. The challenge in this project was to create an exact book-matched floor made up of big panels of natural leather finished natural stone.

KMD used its newest software to take photos of and later optimize the slabs. The advantage: before cutting the slabs the client received an exact visualisation of the dance floor for his approval showing how the floor slabs were going to be matched just as designed. The image shows part of the stone floor as installed at the P1 which is made up of several large-size panels. That way KMD was able to cut and install the slabs precisely according to the client's wishes. And the floor appears as one big picture, exactly as desired.

The newly renovated areas are going to be opened with an added sparkle in late October 2010
