Magdeburg, May 2011 / On May 8th East Germany’s and Berlin’s best handball youth teams (classes of 1996/97) competed for the championship at Lausitzarena in Cottbus. In the end the SC Magdeburg e.V. won and celebrated its first ever East German champion title.

This seaon the team, which is sponsored by KMD, already claimed the Saxony-Anhalt National Championship, the North German Vice Championship and reached an excellent 4th place at the international tournament in Prague.
