31.03.2009 / In March KMD Natursteine GmbH & Co. KG received a seal of approval for on-the-job safety. The award which is granted by the Employers' Liability Insurance Association certifies that KMD fulfils the basic legal requirements for a systematic and organized on-the-job safety and health protection of its employees.

During the certification process KMD optimised its entire health and safety organisation. Weak points were identified and eliminated to reduce the risk of accidents, health hazards and operational disturbances.

"This certificate, however, is no reason for us to rest on our laurels, " says managing director Thomas Dietz. "We have to make more efforts to avoid accidents in the future and continue to increase our operational efficiency." The goal is to enhance our labour conditions and product quality. Special thanks go to plant manager Dyrk Brand who is responsible for implementing the health and safety regulation in the factory. The seal of approval is valid for three years.
