16.11.07 / The last few months we spent travelling through the „natural stone“ regions of the world. We wanted to find new materials and surfaces to be used in projects.

Compared with hard stones such as granite or gneiss, soft stones like limestone and marble are becoming more and more popular. That is a very obvious trend with users, architects and interior designers – maybe a renaissance of the European stones. Countries such as Spain, Portugal and Turkey offer a great variety of stones and are thus becoming increasingly popular. Maybe this results from the problems that have occurred in the past with stones and business partners from the Far East.

Besides current colors such as anthracite, beige and white, shades of red and brown prevail. “Leather”, “matrix” and “sedici” are terms to characterize current trends in surfaces. These stones are defined by their texture and elegance and offer you many options for creative design.
